Hi, I am Jacob Kupin.
Councilperson, District 19
Dear supporters and District 19 residents,
All I can say is thank you! I truly appreciate you taking the time to learn more about my policies and vision for District 19. It’s engaged neighbors like you who keep our city strong, and I am honored to serve as your Metro Nashville District 19 Councilmember.
In this role, I am committed to providing accessible, transparent, and principled leadership that District 19 needs. With decades of neighborhood involvement, small business experience, and a service-mindset, I bring a blend of skills and perspective to serve our community. Every day, I will roll up my sleeves and get to work on your behalf.
Like many Nashvillians, I came here for college and quickly fell in love with this city. After graduating from Belmont University, I launched a small business in artist management and began volunteering with Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue. Along the way, I was lucky enough to marry my wonderful wife, Hayley Levy - we not only had our first date in District 19 (House of Cards) but got married at Cannery Ballroom, and our wedding photos were taken at the downtown Nashville Public Library, in the district as well! She then joined me in running our residential real estate team, and together we share our home with six cats.
I’ve had the privilege of serving as President of the Historic Buena Vista Neighborhood Association, participating in the city’s participatory budget committee that distributed $10 million in American Rescue Plan funds, and contributing to multiple nonprofit boards, including Vanderbilt Hillel and the Jewish Federation of Greater Nashville. My wife and I are actively involved with CASA Nashville (Court Appointed Advocates for Children), Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee, MS Society, and the Nashville Repertory Theatre.
As your Councilmember, I pledge to D19 residents: I will not support any new development project until the appropriate neighborhood associations have been consulted and the community has had a voice in the process. I promise to listen, engage, collaborate, and work tirelessly to represent District 19.
Together, I believe we can make a meaningful difference at this important crossroads for our city.
Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
Jacob
